Shiplake Master Pub Quiz
When we do things at THE PLOUGH SHIPLAKE, we like to do them our way. Rooted in tradition but with a little added sparkle that make them feel extra special.
And our first proper PUB QUIZ is no different. Shiplake College Housemaster, Marcus Milburn, will leave the college for a night of fabulous fun, across 4 rounds of pub quiz challenges.

National Fish & Chips Day
National Fish & Chip Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday in June to honour the iconic British dish of fish and chips. This day celebrates the cultural and culinary significance of fish and chips, a popular meal that is a symbol of the national pride.
We are especially proud of our Day Boat Fish & Chips (fresh from Cornwall) at The Plough Shiplake. In honour of this wonderful meal, we will be running a draw all day on Friday 6 June. Every guest (whether or not you’re having fish & chips) will be entered into a draw for a free Fish & Chips Feast: Fish & Chips for 2, drinks x 2 and dessert x 2. The perfect date night or girlie catch up.
To be entered, just join us for a meal next Friday and you will be entered in the draw. The winner will be announced Saturday 7 June.

2nd Anniversary
There’s something wonderful about celebrating a special occasion in December. It comes with an automatic feeling of joy and happiness.
So, it is with that extra bit of holiday spirit we invite you to join us on Saturday 7 December as we celebrate our 2nd anniversary. The gorgeous JAZZ FORMATION will be playing in the bar from 2pm. SILLA will keep the party going from 6pm with her soulful holiday favourites, as well as some R&B classics.
To mark the occasion, we will be selling The Plough Christmas Club all weekend (Friday through Sunday) in aid of Launchpad Reading. All proceeds will go to helping the homeless this holiday season.

Hestia Festival 2024
Save the date. We will be hosting our annual HESITA FESTIVAL on Saturday 24 August from 2pm - late.
